A different language is a different vision of life.
Federico Fellini
Learning a language means not only learning to speak it, read it and write it, but also, and above all, learning to listen and understand the culture of the country where that language is spoken. It means learning about people, their traditions, and how they live and think.
This is particularly useful if you decide to move abroad, either for personal reasons, or to study or work. But it also enables you to better understand the people who speak the other language, especially if you want to do business with them.
Foreign languages really can broaden our horizons, help us to understand other people better and to see the world in a different light.
What about you? Why did you choose to learn a foreign language?
